Moana is a disney movie that I would compare to Forzen because of the excellent plot line and songs.
Growing up Moana always felt like the ocean was calling her, and she was like her grandma. Her grandma would tell her old stories of the early islanders. One was of great Maui, who stole the heart from Te Fiti, and that one day darkness will come because of this. However, being the daughter of the chief of the island, her love for the water was not acceptable. Plus, no one was allowed outside of the reef. Moanas father wanted her to focus on the island and the people living on it. She went years following her fathers orders, until one day. The islanders who are in charge of the coconuts brought them to Moana, saying that they are all dead. Then the fishermen came to her saying that all of the fish was gone. Moana decided to send the fishermen out past the reef, but her father disagreed. Then Moanas grandma gets sick. She tells Moana to go to the ocean and find Maui to deliver the heart back. Moana sails across the ocean to find the demi God Maui. Together they make the adventurous trip to return the heart, dealing with many obstacles on the way. Moana learns about her ancestors and even herself during this journey. Even though this movie was made for young children, I would highly recommend this for all ages. Especially someone who likes music. The music and the high picture quality really makes it worth the watch. |
The Disney movie Up is one of my all time favorites. This is a movie that you will want to watch multiple times.
This movie starts with young Carl Fredricksen watching a film of his hero, Charles Muntz, who is a famous explorer. After seeing the moive, Carl runs down the road pretending to be on an airplane. That's when he hears someone yell out the line: Adventure is out there! He goes to investigate the house it comes from and finds a very outgoing girl who is just as big of a fan of Muntz as he is. This girl is named Ellie. She shows him her adventure book, and how she wants to go to Paradise Falls, South America. She makes him promise that he will take her there some day. The movie goes on from this and shows the couple getting married, moving into the old house where they met, and start to think about having kids. However, they can't because of Ellies health. Then the movie shows that they get older and Ellie passes away. Carl remains in the same house. The community around him is growing and wants him to move into a retirement home. This is when a boy scout named Russell tries to come help him with daily tasks. Carl also finds Ellie's adventure book and remembers the promise that he made her. When the movers come to get Carl to force him to move, he releases hundreds of balloons from his house and flies into the sky. He quickly finds out that Russell is with him. Together they go on an adventure to Paradise Falls, which full of talking dogs, an unknown species of birds, and Charles Muntz himself. This is a must see movie in my opinion. It has a high quality picture and has a great plot. I think that all ages would enjoy this movie, from little kids to teenagers to adults. |
